AutoKDM is part of Catcher / CatcherTMS. It brings KDM handling into the same cinema content workflow as DCP ingest and transfers. The current Catcher feature pages and project documentation explain setup and supported workflows.

What is a KDM?

A Key Delivery Message is the permission required to play an encrypted DCP on a particular cinema server during an authorised time window. It often arrives as an XML file or in a ZIP attachment. The correct film composition, receiving server and validity dates all matter.

Reduce repetitive KDM handling

Catcher includes AutoKDM workflows to make this work repeatable and bring issues to the operator’s attention. Configure the required mail or delivery source, cinema players and access details using the project’s installation guidance. Confirm compatibility with the exact players and Catcher build used at your cinema.

• Check that the KDM is for the intended composition and receiving cinema server.
• Confirm that the authorised dates cover the planned session.
• Review reported problems and verify the result on the cinema player before the first screening.
• After changing a server or its certificate, review the configuration and request replacement keys when needed.

The version 4 interface is being developed alongside Catcher’s established content and KDM workflows. Full TMS scheduling is a separate area of ongoing development.
